Ruling

ACCORDINGLY, this Court finds accused Marcelino Paredes y Algara GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape, as defined and penalized under Article 266-A 1 (d) and 2 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, and hereby sentences him under paragraph 1 of Art. 266-B of the Revised Penal Code to suffer the penalty of Reclusion Perpetua with all its attendant accessory penalties. Accused is further directed to indemnify the victim [XXX] the sum of P50,000.00 as moral damages, P50,000.00 as civil indemnity and P25,000.00 as exemplary damages. SO ORDERED.
