WHEREFORE, premises considered, accused MELANIO NUGAS is hereby found guilty beyond reasonable doubt and is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of Reclusion Perpetua. Nugas is hereby further ordered to pay to heirs of Glen Remigio the amount of P80,000.00 for actual damages, P50,000.00 for funeral expenses and P50,000 as death indemnity.
