TL;DR — Ruling
WHEREFORE, in view of all the foregoing, this court hereby finds the accused Joel Orquina y Mangumayao guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape as charged in the Information, without any modifying circumstances, accordingly hereby sentences him to a penalty for reclusion perpetua , with the accessory penalties provided for by law; to pay the complainant indemnity in the amount of fifty thousand ( P 50,000.00) pesos, and also moral damages in the amount of fifty thousand ( P 50,000.
WHEREFORE, in view of all the foregoing, this court hereby finds the accused Joel Orquina y Mangumayao guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape as charged in the Information, without any modifying circumstances, accordingly hereby sentences him to a penalty for reclusion perpetua , with the accessory penalties provided for by law; to pay the complainant indemnity in the amount of fifty thousand ( P 50,000.00) pesos, and also moral damages in the amount of fifty thousand ( P 50,000.00) pesos; to pay the complainant the sum of ten thousand five hundred twenty eight and 65/100 ( P 10,528.65) pesos as actual damages; and to pay the costs. SO ORDERED.
