Ruling

WHEREFORE, the foregoing considered, this Court finds accused Rodel Antivola GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape defined and penalized under the provisions of Articles 266-A and 266-B of Republic Act No. 8353 otherwise known as the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, amending Article 335 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Republic Act No. 7610, and hereby sentences him to suffer the penalty of DEATH and to pay private complainant Rachel de Guzman the amount P75,000.00 as moral damages. SO ORDERED.
