ACCORDINGLY , the petition is GRANTED . The Decision dated July 5, 2016 and Resolution dated October 13, 2016 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CV No. 103196 are REVERSED and SET ASIDE . The case is REMANDED to the Regional Trial Court Branch 29, Manila for presentation in evidence of the pertinent Japanese law on divorce following the procedure in Racho v. Tanaka . [35] Thereafter, the court shall render a new decision on the merits. SO ORDERED.
