No. 99-5-05-SC, May 28, 1999 ] RE:  LETTER OF BRIG. GEN. (RET.) RAFAEL D. GOSECO RE INTENTION TO DONATE FOR THE SITE OF THE HALL OF JUSTICE IN GUAGUA, PAMPANGA R E S O L U T I O N PER CURIAM: On May 12, 1999, the Court received a letter from retired Brig. Gen. Rafael D. Goseco stating the Goseco family's intention to donate to the Court some 5,000 square meters of land forming part of the family's 20-hectare property in Brgy. San Matias, Quilo, Guagua, Pampanga. The land was offered as site for the proposed Hall of Justice and other buildings that the Court may be minded to construct. According to General Goseco, his family will find fulfillment in knowing that it had done something for the government. The Court appreciates this magnanimous gesture from and expresses its gratitude therefor to the Goseco family; and, accordingly, resolves to accept the donation and approve the attached deed of donation, except as to the condition regarding the membership of the Court in the subdivision's homeowners' association. The Court likewise resolves to authorize Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr. to sign on its behalf the deed of donation. The finalization and implementation of the plans for the construction of the Hall of Justice and related structures is referred to Mr. Justice Santiago M. Kapunan, Chairman of the Court's Committee on Halls of Justice. Davide, Jr., C.J., Romero, Bellosillo, Melo, Puno, Vitug, Kapunan, Mendoza, Quisumbing, Pardo, Buena, Gonzaga-Reyes, and Ynares-Santiago, JJ., concur.
