Ruling

WHEREFORE , premises considered, judgment is hereby rendered as follows: In Criminal Case No. 2015-2613: Finding accused XXX GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape, hereby sentenced him to suffer the penalty of Reclusion Perpetua. He is further ORDERED to pay the victim, AAA, moral damages, exemplary damages and civil indemnity in the amount of [PHP] 75,000.00. All damages shall earn interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the date of finality of this judgment. In Criminal Case No. 2015-2672: Finding accused XXX GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, hereby sentenced him to suffer the indeterminate imprisonment of twelve (12) years and one (1) day of reclusion temporal in its minimum period as minimum term to fifteen (15) years[,] six (6) months, and twenty-one (21) days of reclusion temporal in its medium period as maximum term. He is further ORDERED to pay the victim, AAA, moral damages, exemplary damages and fine in the amount of [PHP] 15,000.00 as well as [PHP] 20,000.00 as civil indemnity. All damages shall earn interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the date of finality of this judgment. SO ORDERED.
