WHEREFORE , the Petition for Review on Certiorari is GRANTED . The Decision dated March 8, 2019 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. SP No. 150812 is REVERSED and SET ASIDE . Loxon Philippines Inc. 1s ORDERED to pay Armando N. Serrano the following: (1) Backwages computed from January 2016 until finality of this Decision; (2) Separation pay in lieu of reinstatement equivalent to one (1) month salary for every year of service from the start of his employment; (3) Moral damages in the amount of P50,000.00; (4) Exemplary damages in the amount of P50,000.00; and (5) Attorney's fees equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the total monetary award. All monetary awards shall earn interest at the legal rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the date of fmality of this Decision until full paid. [48] SO ORDERED.
