WHEREFORE, finding the accused Rex Turingan guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of MURDER as defined and penalized under Art. 248 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, he is hereby sentenced to RECLUSION PERPETUA with all the accessories provided for by law and to indemnify Ana Cortez, the surviving spouse of the deceased Benjamin Cortez, the following amounts: 1. WHEREFORE, finding the accused Rex Turingan guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of MURDER as defined and penalized under Art. 248 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, he is hereby sentenced to RECLUSION PERPETUA with all the accessories provided for by law and to indemnify Ana Cortez, the surviving spouse of the deceased Benjamin Cortez, the following amounts: 1. P50,000.00 for the death of Benjamin Cortez; 2. P50,000.00 as consequential damages; 3. P100,000.00 as moral damages; 4. P816,000.00 (as) lost earnings of Auditor Benjamin Cortez; 5. The costs of suit. SO ORDERED.
