WHEREFORE, premises considered, the present appeal is hereby DISMISSED for lack of merit. The appealed Joint Decision dated May 25, 2006 of the Regional Trial Court of Calabanga, Camarines Sur, Branch 63 is hereby AFFIRMED with MODIFICATIONS in that accused-appellant is sentenced to reclusion perpetua with no possibility of parole and reduction of exemplary damages from P30,000.00 to P25,000.00 in Criminal Case No. RTC'02-736 and in Criminal Case No. RTC'02-735, the increase from P15,000.00 to P25,000.00 in exemplary damages. In all other respects, the decision under review STANDS. With costs against the accused-appellant. SO ORDERED.
