Ruling

WHEREFORE , the decision under review is hereby AFFIRMED, with the following modifications: (a) the penalty imposed is reduced to reclusion perpetua; (b) aside from the payment of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) as moral damages to the victim, accused-appellant is further ordered to indemnify private complainant in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) ; and (c) the exemplary damages awarded by the trial court in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) are reduced to Twenty-five Thousand Pesos (P25,000.00). SO ORDERED.
