WHEREFORE, this Court finds and so holds that accused Romeo Satonero alias Ruben is guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Murder as defined and penalized under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code. Appreciating voluntary surrender as ordinary mitigating circumstance, accused Romeo Satonero alias Ruben is directed to serve the penalty of Reclusion Perpetua with its accessory penalties. His detention from December 29, 1997 is counted full in his favor. He is directed to pay cost.
