Ruling

WHEREFORE , premises considered, the Court finds the accused [XXX255931] guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Violation of Section 5(b) of RA 7610 and is hereby imposed the indeterminate prison term of ten (10) years of prision mayor [,] as minimum[,] to sixteen (16) years, five (5) months and ten (10) days of reclusion temporal [,] as maximum. Accused is also ordered to pay P20,000 as civil indemnity, P15,000 as moral damages, and P15,000 as exemplary damages to [AAA255931]. Moreover, as provided in Section 31(f) of RA 7610, the Court imposes a fine upon the offender, [XXX255931] and is ordered to pay a fine of P15,000, in accordance with prevailing jurisprudence. Accused is further ordered to pay interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum on all damages awarded from the date of finality of this Decision until such damages are fully paid, in accordance with prevailing jurisprudence. SO ORDERED.
