WHEREFORE , the assailed Decision of the court a quo finding accused-appellant Eddie Basite guilty of simple rape and sentencing him to reclusion perpetua and to pay complaining witness AAA the amount of P50,000.00 as civil indemnity and P50,000.00 as moral damages is AFFIRMED . Costs against accused-appellant.
