WHEREFORE, premises considered, Judgment is rendered as follows: 1. In Criminal Case No. 2017-0198, for Violation of Section 5(a)(l), Article III of Republic Act No. 7610, herein accused [XXX] is GUILTY as charged beyond reasonable doubt.
WHEREFORE, premises considered, Judgment is rendered as follows: 1. In Criminal Case No. 2017-0198, for Violation of Section 5(a)(l), Article III of Republic Act No. 7610, herein accused [XXX] is GUILTY as charged beyond reasonable doubt. He is hereby sentenced to a prison term of fourteen (14) years and eight (8) months of reclusion temporal as minimum, to twenty (20) years of reclusion temporal as maximum. He is ordered to pay [AAA] the amount of [PHP] 50,000.00 by way of civil indemnity. In the service of his sentence, he shall be credited with the period of his preventive detention pursuant to the provisions of Article 29 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended. 2. In Criminal Case No. 2017-0203 for Violation of Section 4(a)[,] in relation to Sections 6(a) and 10(c)[,] of Republic Act No. 9208 as amended by Republic Act No. 10364, accused [XXX] is GUILTY as charged beyond [a] reasonable doubt. He is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Two Million Pesos ([PHP] 2 Million). He is likewise ordered to pay [AAA] the amount of [PHP] 250,000.00 by way of moral damages and [PHP] 100,000.00 as exemplary damages. In the service of his sentence, accused shall be credited with the period of his preventive detention pursuant to the provisions of Article 29 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended. 3. In Criminal Case No. 2017-0202 for Violation of Section 5(a)(l), Article III of Republic Act No. 7610, herein accused [XXX] is GUILTY as charged beyond [a] reasonable doubt.
