WHEREFORE , respondent Atty. Carlo Gomez is hereby declared GUILTY of violation of Canon 16 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year effective upon receipt of this Resolution, with a WARNING that a repetition of the same or similar acts will be dealt with severely.
WHEREFORE , respondent Atty. Carlo Gomez is hereby declared GUILTY of violation of Canon 16 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year effective upon receipt of this Resolution, with a WARNING that a repetition of the same or similar acts will be dealt with severely. Let a copy of this decision be furnished the Court Administrator for distribution to all courts of the land, the IBP, the Office of the Bar Confidant, and entered into the personal records of Atty. Gomez as an attorney and as a member of the Philippine Bar. SO ORDERED.
