WHEREFORE, the foregoing premises considered, judgment is hereby rendered finding the accused WILLEM JOHANNES PEEK�y�Stange: 1) GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of violation of Section 5 (b), Article III of Republic Act No. 7610 in CR-FMY No. 2017-1126. The accused is also ordered to indemnity [AAA256452] the amount of [PHP] 15,000.00 as moral damages, and to pay a fine of [PHP] 15,000.00. (awÞhi( 2) GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt in CR-FMY No. 2017-1127 of the crime of Qualified Trafficking in Persons under Section 4 in relation to Section 6 (a) of [RA] 9208, as amended by [RA] 10364, otherwise known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003. Accordingly, the said accused is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Two Million Pesos ([PHP] 2,000.000.00). Pursuant to existing jurisprudence, the accused is likewise ordered to pay [AAA256452] the amount of [PHP] 500,000.00 as moral damages and [PHP] 100,000.00 as exemplary damages. In addition, an interest at the rate of 6% per annum is imposed on all damages awarded from date of finality of this judgment until fully paid. SO ORDERED.
