WHEREFORE, premises considered, judgment is hereby rendered, as follows: In Criminal Case No. SB-09-CRM-0018, accused Jose Romeo Nereus O. Acosta is hereby acquitted, for failure of the prosecution to prove his guilt of the crime charged beyond a reasonable doubt. In Criminal Case No. SB-09-CRM-0019, the accused Jose Romeo Nereus O. Acosta and Ma. Nemia O. Bornidor are hereby acquitted, for failure of the prosecution to prove their guilt of the crime charged beyond a reasonable doubt. In Criminal Case No. SB-09-CRM-0020, the Court finds accused Socorro O. Acosta guilty beyond reasonable doubt of Violation of Section 3(h) of Republic Act (R.A.) No. 3019 , as charged in the Information dated December 8, 2008. Pursuant to the provisions of the Indeterminate Sentence Law , she is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of imprisonment of six (6) years and one (1) month, as minimum, to ten (10) years, as maximum. She shall also suffer perpetual disqualification from public office. In Criminal Case No. SB-09-CRM-0021, the Court finds accused Jose Romeo Nereus O. Acosta and Socorro O. Acosta guilty beyond reasonable doubt of Violation of Section 3(e) of R.A. No. 3019 as charged in the Information dated December 8, 2008. Pursuant to the provisions of the Indeterminate Sentence Law , each one (1) of them is sentenced to suffer the penalty of imprisonment of six (6) years and one (1) month, as minimum, to ten (10) years, as maximum.
