WHEREFORE , in view of the foregoing premises, judgment is hereby rendered finding accused, LEO A. LASTIMOSA, GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of LIBEL and sentences him to a penalty of FINE of SIX THOUSAND [PESOS] with SUBSIDIARY IMPRISONMENT in case of INSOLVENCY . Accused is, likewise, ordered to pay private complainant, (Ex) Governor GWENDOLYN F. GARCIA the amount of TWO MILLION (Php2,000,000.

Accused is, likewise, ordered to pay private complainant, (Ex) Governor GWENDOLYN F. GARCIA the amount of TWO MILLION (Php2,000,000.00[)] , for and as moral damages. Finally, accused is ordered to pay the costs of these proceedings. SO ORDERED.
