WHEREFORE, premises considered, this Court finds accused VERGEL CAÑAS [y] GANALON GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt, for three (3) counts of the crime of Violation of Section 4 (a) in relation to Section 6 (a) of [Republic Act No.] 9208 as amended by [Republic Act No.] 10364 and hereby imposes the penalty of life imprisonment and a fine of Two Million Pesos ([PHP 2,000,000.00]) each case.
WHEREFORE, premises considered, this Court finds accused VERGEL CAÑAS [y] GANALON GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt, for three (3) counts of the crime of Violation of Section 4 (a) in relation to Section 6 (a) of [Republic Act No.] 9208 as amended by [Republic Act No.] 10364 and hereby imposes the penalty of life imprisonment and a fine of Two Million Pesos ([PHP 2,000,000.00]) each case. In addition, the accused is further ordered to indemnify the private complainant Five Hundred Thousand Pesos ([PHP 500,000.00]) as moral damages and Two Hundred Thousand Pesos ([PHP 200,000.00]) as exemplary damages. No costs. SO ORDERED.
