Ruling

WHEREFORE, judgment is hereby rendered in favor of the plaintiff Far East Bank and Trust Company and against the defendant Robert Mar Chante a.k.a. Robert Mar G. Chan ordering the latter to pay the former the following: the amount of P770,488.30 as actual damages representing the unrecovered balance of the amounts withdrawn by defendant; interest of 24% per annum on the actual damages from July 1, 1992, the date of the filing of the complaint until fully paid; the amount of P100,000.00 as exemplary damages; the sum of P30,000.00 as and for attorneys fees; and the costs of the suit. Defendants counterclaim is hereby dismissed for lack of merit. SO ORDERED.
