accordingly, in keeping with the courts mandate to uphold a character of trust and integrity in society. WHEREFORE, the court resolved to redocket the case as a regular administrative matter. Respondent Judge Marino Rubia is hereby DISMISSED from the service, with corresponding forfeiture of all retirement benefits, except accrued leave credits, and disqualified from reinstatement or appointment in any public office, including government-owned or -controlled corporations. Respondent Eileen Pecaña is SUSPENDED for one (1) year for gross misconduct. This decision is immediately executory. Respondent Judge Rubia is further ordered to cease and desist from discharging the functions of his office upon receipt of this decision. Let a copy hereof be entered in the personal records of respondents. SO ORDERED.
