Ruling

WHEREFORE , premises considered, judgment is hereby rendered finding accused PEDRO RAMA, JR. [ y ] Ybañez GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the special complex crime of rape with homicide. He is sentenced to suffer the penalty of RECLUSION PERPETUA , without the possibility of parole. He is also ordered to pay the heirs of AAA the amounts of Php100,000.00 as civil indemnity; Php100,000.00 as moral damages; and Php100,000.00 as exemplary damages. An interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum shall be applied to the award of civil indemnity, moral[,] and exemplary damages from the finality of the judgment until fully paid. SO ORDERED.
