WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Court is convinced that the prosecution has proven the guilt of the accused beyond reasonable doubt, hereby sentences the accused Carmelo Lacaba the penalty of DEATH for the two (2) counts of rape. The Court likewise orders the accused to pay the amount of P50,000.00 for each case as indemnity. SO ORDERED.
