Ruling

WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, judgment is hereby rendered as follows: 1) finding the accused GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of murder as penalized under Art. 247, Revised Penal Code and is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua; 2) accused is ordered to pay the following amount to the heirs of Leonardo Bastuten: (a) P50,000.00 for the life of the victim Leonardo Bastuten with 6% interest on all amount due from the filing of the information on November 29, 1991 until said amounts have been fully paid. SO ORDERED.
