Ruling

WHEREFORE , the appeal is GRANTED . The Decision dated December 7, 2018 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 09711 is REVERSED and SET ASIDE . Accordingly, accused-appellant Antonio Ansus is ACQUITTED on reasonable doubt, and is ORDERED to be IMMEDIATELY RELEASED from detention, unless he is being lawfully held for another cause. Let a copy of this Decision be furnished the Director General of the Bureau of Corrections, Muntinlupa City for immediate implementation. The said Director General is DIRECTED to report the action he has taken to this Court, within five (5) days from receipt of this Decision. SO ORDERED.
