WHEREFORE , the decision of the Regional Trial Court of Cabarroguis, Quirino, Branch 32, in Criminal Case No. 993 finding accused-appellant MARIANO PASCUA, JR. @ PEDRO, guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Murder and imposing the penalty of reclusion perpetua is hereby AFFIRMED subject to the MODIFICATION that accused-appellant is hereby ordered to pay the heirs of the victim Ernesto Quiming the amount of P50,000.00 as civil indemnity and P50,000.
