WHEREFORE , the instant petition is hereby DISMISSED for lack of merit. The August 31, 1994 decision of respondent National Labor Relations Commission is AFFIRMED with the MODIFICATION that private respondent shall pay to the petitioner P1,000.00, in keeping with the Court’s policy regarding the same, as damages for its, failure to observe procedural due process in effecting the dismissal. [16] SO ORDERED.
