WHEREFORE , the Decision dated 18 June 2013 of the Court of Appeals affirming the conviction of accused-appellant Dats Mamalumpon y Bañez by the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 16, for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 and sentencing him to suffer the penalty of life of imprisonment and to pay a fine of P500,000.00 is hereby AFFIRMED . SO ORDERED.
