WHEREAS, the recent programs of the present administration under the efficient
lead€rship of the City Mayor, Honorable Marcelino R. Teodoro has encouraged
businessmen in Marikina City to put up businesses and for existing business owners to
renew the registration oftheir business permits;
WHEREAS. as a result, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) has been
receiviog numerous business p€rmits registration and renewal, thus the need to extend the
duration for the renewal ofbusiness permitsl
WHEREAS, Section 167 ofthe Local Govemrnent Code of l99l provides that:
'SECTION 167. Time of Paymenl. - Ilnless otherwise pro ded in this

The sanggunian concerned may, for a iustifiable reoson or cause extend
the time for paymenl of such lares, fees. or charges wilhoul surcharges or

NOw THEREFORE, BE tT ORDAINED AS lT lS HEREBY ORDAINED, by the
SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD of MARIKINA, in session duly assembled, that:
SECTION l. The City Govemment of Madkina hereby extends the renewal of Business
Permits from January 2l to February 15, 2019 without sucharges and penalties due to
the increase in the number ofbusiness permits renewal.
SEcTloN 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
