Ruling

WHEREFORE, premises considered, judgment is hereby rendered finding the accused [XXX257662] guilty beyond reasonable doubt of Simple Rape. He is hereby sentenced to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua and to pay the private offended party [AAA] [PHP] 75,000.00 as civil indemnity, [PHP] 75,000.00 as moral damages[,] and [PHP] 75,000.00 as exemplary damages. All such amounts will earn interest of 6% per annum from the finality of this Judgment until full payment. In the service of his sentence, accused shall be credited in full of the time of his preventive imprisonment, if he agreed voluntarily to abide by the rules imposed upon convicted prisoners. . . . .
